W ubiegłą sobotę Liderki z Krainy Trzech Rzek, wspierane przez jednego z sołtysów, wzięły udział w Konferencji WIEJSKA POLSKA Przedsiębiorcza wieś” poświęconej niezwykle ważnej kwestii, jaką jest rola i pozycja kobiet na terenach wiejskich
Spotkanie organizowane w Koninie przez Krajową Sieć Obszarów Wiejskich oraz Krajowe Stowarzyszenie Sołtysów objął patronatem Prezydent Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej Bronisław Komorowski, zaś udział wzięła w nim z udziałem jego żona Maria Komorowska.
Konferencję rozpoczęto dyskusją sołtysek na temat: „Kobieta wiejska pomiędzy tradycja a nowoczesnością”. Panie Sołtyski opowiedziały w jaki sposób integrują społeczność wiejską, jak czasami trudne to zadanie, ze względu na brak na wsiach kin, teatrów i innych instytucji kulturalnych. Bardzo ważną rolę odgrywa jednak chęć i umiejętność w nawiązywaniu kontaktów, organizowanie różnych imprez. Kobiety na wsi potrzebują warunków do aktywnej działalności zarówno w sferze społecznej jak i prywatnej.
W wielu wypowiedziach podkreślano, że wieś powinna zachować oraz kultywować swoje tradycje, między innymi poprzez wyrób lokalnych produktów . Zaznaczano jaką ważną rolą jest wsparcie kobiet wiejskich w pozyskiwaniu środków finansowych na aktywizację mieszkańców obszarów wiejskich. Coraz częściej kobiety udzielają sie społecznie i widać tego efekty – podawano wiele przykładów dobrych praktyk w inicjatywach turystycznych oraz gospodarczych.
